What's at stake in the transit referendum?

Local Mayors and the Liberal government are proposing to increase the sales tax to fund changes to transit. Are these improvements good enough? Is a regressive flat tax the only way to fund this? Why does transit funding require a vote while tax cuts that starved the transit system and other public services were never voted on? Will these transit changes increase our standard of living? Will this plan result in less cars and deal with climate change? Join us for a discussion of the transit referendum.
