Injured Workers’ Day Rally & March

Stop the Cuts to Workers’ Compensation!

Our workers’ compensation system is in a state of crisis. Just like we're seeing with social programs and public services across the map, a regime of extreme austerity reigns at the WSIB, and this has meant a full-fledged assault on people who have been injured or made ill at work.

Benefit cuts and changes to policies and practices have caused immense poverty, and have made the workers’ compensation system hostile to injured workers – the very people the system is supposed to protect.

We say enough is enough. We refuse to accept any more cost-cutting on the backs of injured workers, and we’re taking to the streets to make our voices heard.

So join us for Injured Workers’ Day on June 1st at 11:00am, as we gather at Queen’s Park and march to the Ministry of Labour, calling on Kathleen Wynne’s government to be accountable to its self-proclaimed “social justice” aims by taking a stand for the injured workers of Ontario. It’s time to take back our compensation system.

Stop the cuts to workers' comp!
End the austerity agenda!
Justice for injured workers!
