Racism
Where does it come from? How can we fight it?
Wednesday, January 30
2:30 pm to 4:00 pm
307 Student Centre
Speaker: Joe Kelly
Racism is not just a chapter from our history books and it is about more than individual prejudice. From racial profiling to police harassment to wage inequalities, barriers in education and more, racism runs throughout the society in which we live. Racism today relies on the changing interests of those who currently hold power in society and who use every possible means to hold onto it. Join a discussion on the origins of racism and how we can fight for a world free from racial discrimination.
