Conservatives, Corruption & Capitalism

The Canadian ruling class has been wracked by scandals in recent months. From the Senate expense scandals of Mike Duffy and Pamela Wallin, and the ensuing infighting that threatens Stephen Harper's iron-clad grip on the Conservative Party, to Rob Ford's very public and ongoing meltdown. But capitalism is the real scandal. Join us for a discussion of the connections between our corrupt elected leaders and their corrupt corporate buddies, and how they are inherent to the capitalist system, as well as our resistance to their vicious austerity agenda, and what it would take to rid ourselves of these ruling class clowns once and for all.
