Scrap the Changes to E.I., We Need Real Improvement

Harper's damaging changes to E.I. will hurt many people, such as those in part-time or temporary jobs, and those who get laid off during slow periods. The changes will especially hurt women, workers of colour, immigrants, migrants and youth. One of the new rules means most claimants are expected to take a job payng 20-30% less—after only 6 weeks of lay-off. Instead, we need real improvements to E.I, including better access and better benefits for all!
