The Fight Against Fascism in Greece: an eyewitness report
The fight against the racist Golden Dawn has forced the Greek government to arrest leading members of the organization. However, the Greek state has used this as an opportunity to crack down on what they call "the extremes of both right and left" and to try and stifle popular mobilizations against racism and austerity. Anti-fascist and anti-racist activists in Greece have been charged under Greece's "anti-terror" laws—for speaking out against the recent police killings of two Albanian escaped prisoners.
Join us for a dinner and discussion, featuring a Skyped presentation from a member of the Greek Socialist Workers Party who is facing trial for her role in anti-fascist organizing.
