Solidarity with Egyptian revolutionaries: 'Bread, freedom, social justice!'

Location

Three years after Egyptians rose up in a revolution which toppled the dictator Hosni Mubarak, his old regime is trying to take revenge against the activists who led the uprising.

Courts are handing down harsh jail terms against leading activists from the April 6th Youth Movement and the Revolutionary Socialists, while hundreds of Muslim Brotherhood supporters were killed by the police and army in a bloody clampdown over the summer of 2013.

To mark the anniversary of the revolution, and to support revolutionaries' demands for the fall of the military regime, the International Socialists in Toronto will hold an info picket and solidarity action on January 25.

During the picket, we will distribute leaflets about the situation in Egypt and collect signatures for a solidarity statement that supports Egyptian revolutionaries.

Everyone is welcome to join us. Help us show Egyptian revolutionaries that Toronto solidarity activists support their struggle!
