With the United States election casting a grim outlook on what the future might hold for many individuals and groups, the time is now for those against the far-right to come together and work out how to move forward, and fight against the system which has developed into the situation before us.
For this, we have invited a broad range of speakers from a number of different groups to share their perspectives on what exactly went wrong, how Donald Trump could pull off such a victory, and what the next step forward should be. Join us for a night of public discussion, debate, and organizing at the SFU Harbour Centre in room 1525 on the 29th of November!
Speaker list (so far):
-Cecilia Point (Battered Women's Support Services & Musqueam activist)
-Brynn Bourke (social democratic campaign manager)
-Kari Michaels (union, student & feminist activist)
-Peter McCartney (climate & LGBTQ activist)
-Eric Lescarbeau (International Socialists)
And more to be announced
*This event is open to the public and happening on the unceded lands of the Musqueam, Tsleil-Waututh, and Squamish Nations.*
