Will a robot take your job?

The machine: it doesn't complain about working conditions, it won't demand a raise, won't go on strike--- not to mention the fact that it can work tirelessly day and night. How has the proliferation of automation affected the lives of human workers? Is mechanization helping people or is it making them obsolete? How can we make sure that people are prioritized as the technology becomes more advanced and pervasive?
Join us on November 28 at 4 - 5PM Pacific, via zoom, for a short presentation on automation, followed by an open discussion. We will be launching the dialogue from the following two articles, which you are welcome but not required to read:
